National Apostolate of Maronites
The National Apostolate of Maronites (NAM) is a lay organization that was created before the installation of the first United States bishop. Its current mission is to assists its bishops, serves as a link in unifying Maronite laity in the U.S., strengthens the bond between clergy and laity. NAM helps preserve Syriac-Maronite traditions by making people aware of the rich Maronite heritage and by fostering pride in the Maronite Church.
Each parish, mission and community has 2 delegates and works from the ground up. Our Lady of Lebanon has 2 delegates, Eva Farhat and Rosann Constantine who have attended the National Maronite Convention over the past 30 years. Currently, OLL also has 2 members of the National Board who have dedicated their time and talents to an organization with over 3000 members worldwide. For more information see http://www.namnews.org/
